Home My WebLink About1588 Election Certification 4-3-2018 BILL NO. 2018-014 ORDINANCE NO. /.Sgg AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE CERTIFICATION OF THE APRIL 3, 2018 ELECTION RESULTS RECEIVED FROM THE PLATTE COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, an election was held within the City on April 3, 2018 for the purpose of electing one member of the Board of Aldermen from each Ward within the City and the Mayor; and WHEREAS, the City has received a Certificate of Election from the Platte County Board Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2018 Riverside General Municipal Election; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it in the best interest of the City to accept and ratify such election results as presented; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1 — DECLARATION AND RATIFICATION OF APRIL 3. 2018 ELECTION RESULTS. That the Certificate of Election results received from the Platte County Board of Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2018 Riverside General Municipal Election are hereby received and ratified by the City of Riverside as follows: MAYOR Kathy Rose 165 Write-Ins 9 ALDERMAN WARD John Heryer 32 Mike Fuller 36 Write-Ins 0 ALDERMAN WARD II Jill Hammond 28 Write-Ins 1 ALDERMAN WARD III Frank Biondo 13 Nathan Cretsinger 69 Write-Ins 1 SECTION 2— REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3—SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. The provisions of this ordinance are severable and if any provision hereof is declared invalid, unconstitutional or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance. BILL NO. 2018-014 ORDINANCE NO. )529 SECTION 4— EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
