A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW HOLLAND TS6120 TRACTOR
FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT THROUGH ST JOSEPH TRACTOR, ST JOSEPH
MISSOURI IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED$68,000.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the acquisition of a New Holland
TS6120 tractor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the Missouri State and Local Government Purchasing was competitively bid
and awarded a Cooperative Purchasing Contract C114030001 for Ag Equipment to St. Joseph
Tractor, 3525 Pear Street, St. Joseph, Missouri 64503; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of one New Holland TS6120 tractor off the
Missouri State and Local Government Cooperative purchasing contract for Ag Equipment, through
St. Joseph Tractor, St. Joseph, Missouri in an amount not to exceed $68,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of one New Holland TS6120 tractor off the Missouri State and Local
Government Cooperative purchasing contract for Ag Equipment, through St. Joseph Tractor, St.
Joseph, Missouri in an amount not to exceed $68,000.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, or her designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the 2�,O day of July 2018.

BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase a new tractor was included in the 2018-2019 budget. A New
Holland TS6120 tractor will be purchased from St Joseph Tractor using the MO. State and Local
Cooperative Purchasing Contract C114030001 for Ag. Equipment.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2018-2019 fiscal budget included $68,000.00 for the purchase
of a new tractor.
