R— 2018—055 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO 2018 DODGE RAM 2600 CREW CAB 4X4 PICKUP TRUCKS FROM LANDMARK DODGE OFF THE MID AMERICA REGIONAL COUNCIL FOR PUBLIC PURCHASING CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $60,786.00 WHEREAS, the Fire Department has a need for acquisition of two (2) 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab 4X4 pickup trucks to replace the Assistant Chief of Operations and the Assistant Chief of Emergency Management's vehicles that are used daily; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and WHEREAS, Mid America Regional Council (MARC) has competitively bid and awarded a contract to Landmark Dodge, Independence, Missouri for purchase of such equipment; and WHEREAS,funds for such purpose are budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 budget; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of two (2) 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 crew cab 4X4 pickup trucks from Landmark Dodge, in an amount not to exceed $60,786.00; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT the purchase of two (2) 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 crew cab 4X4 pickup trucks from Landmark Dodge, in an amount not to exceed $60,786.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor and/or the City Administrator, or his designee, are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. City of Riverside Resolution Overview Agenda Date: July 3'd, 2018 BACKGROUND: In the 2018/19 budget for the Fire Department the Board of Alderman approved the replacement of the Asst. Chief of Operations and the Asst.Chief of Emergency Management vehicles. One is a 2009 with well over 200,000 miles and the other is a 2oo6 that is approaching 200,000 miles. Both are at a point that they will need extensive repairs,with electrical issues&body rust.The Fire Department will be purchasing 2 Dodge Ram 2500 crew cab 4x4 pickup to replace the above through Landmark Dodge using the MARC government contract. BUDGETARYIMPACT: The cost of this purchase is$30,393.00 for each pickup.Total cost for 2 $6o,786.00
