A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH AYLETT
SURVEY & ENGINEERING COMPANY FOR SURVEY OF THE JUMPING BRANCH
TRAIL IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,600
WHEREAS, City Code Section 135.180 provides that the City's competitive bidding
requirements do not apply to professional services, such as land surveyors; and
WHEREAS, City Code Section 135.180 further provides that a procurement
recommendation will be made to the Board of Aldermen when fees for such service exceed
$10,000; and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City engage Aylett Survey & Engineering
Company, Inc. for surveying work in connection with design of the Jumping Branch Trail,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Riverside Board of Aldermen (`Board") hereby approves the proposal letter
with Aylett Survey & Engineering Company, Inc., in substantially the form attached hereto as
Exhibit"A", and the Mayor is authorized to execute the proposal letter; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, Finance Director and other City officials are hereby
authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and
comply with the purpose and intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on
behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be
necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized; and
FURTHER THAT this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri,the '34 day of 019.

Dear Travis:
The cost to do the Topographical Survey and other requirements as outlined in your Survey Scope for the Jumping Branch Trail
and Pedestrian Bridge,would be$17,600.00.The Centerline and Thalweg will be shot at the bends and breaks in the creek.They
will not be shot every 25 feet. We will work with the City Engineer to establish the extreme high water elevation and Date of
t occurrence.We will also consult with the City Engineer to establish the ordinary high water elevation of the creek. If approved
please send me an email to confirm. If ordered we will need to be furnished with updated Title Work.Payment will be required
upon completion and can be made with cash or check.
Fees quoted herein shall remain in effect for 30 days from the date of this proposal. If this offer is accepted after thirty days,we
reserve the right to revise our fees and resubmit this proposal.
If you wish to cancel this order after it has been placed:Once this order has been placed,you are responsible for payment of all
work performed between the date of the order and the date that we are in written receipt of your request of cancellation by U.S.
Certified Mail. If you fail to make payment,a mechanic's lien can be placed on the property which is the subject of this contract
pursuant to Chapter 429 RSMO. At our option,we may charge a 2%service charge per month on any balance that is past due.A
charge of 24%will be added to unpaid balances on accounts turned over to others for collection.
