AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE CERTIFICATION OF THE APRIL 2, 2019 ELECTION RESULTS RECEIVED FROM THE PLATTE COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, an election was held within the City on April 2, 2019 for the purpose of electing one member of the Board of Aldermen from each Ward within the City; and WHEREAS, the City has received a Certificate of Election from the Platte County Board Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2019 Riverside General Municipal Election; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it in the best interest of the City to accept and ratify such election results as presented; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1 — DECLARATION AND RATIFICATION OF APRIL 2, 2019 ELECTION RESULTS. That the Certificate of Election results received from the Platte County Board of Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2019 Riverside General Municipal Election are hereby received and ratified by the City of Riverside as follows: ALDERMAN WARD I Al Bowman 33 ALDERMAN WARD II Aaron D. Thatcher 23 ALDERMAN WARD III Sal LoPorto 58 SECTION 2 — REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3—SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. The provisions of this ordinance are severable and if any provision hereof is declared invalid, unconstitutional or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance. BILL NO. 2019-012 ORDINANCE NO. SECTION 4— EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval. BE IT REMEMBERED that the above was read two times by heading only, passed and approved by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and approved by the Mayor of the City of Riverside, Missouri, this 16th day of April, 2019.
