HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2019-047 CO 3 Metro Asphalt 2017 Street Maintenance $1,055,480 RESOLUTION NO. R-2019-047 A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER 3 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH METRO ASPHALT, INC. FOR 2017 STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECT (316-016) RESULTING IN A REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $1,055,480.00 FOR SUCH PURPOSES WHEREAS, the City of Riverside ("City") issued an Invitation to Bid for the 2017 Street Maintenance Project which was awarded to Metro Asphalt, Inc. pursuant to Resolution R- 2017-011; and WHEREAS, the City approved Change Order 1 to the agreement with Metro Asphalt, Inc. pursuant to Resolution R-2017-073; and WHEREAS, the City approved Change Order 2 to the agreement with Metro Asphalt, Inc. pursuant to Resolution R-2018-059; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen finds that it is in the best interest of the City to approve Change Order 3 to the agreement with Metro Asphalt, Inc., resulting in a total revised contract amount not to exceed $1,055,480.00 to continue the street maintenance program through the 2018-19 budget year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI,AS FOLLOWS: THAT Change Order 3 to the Agreement between the City and Metro Asphalt, Inc., a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the same on behalf of the City. The resulting revised total contract amount shall not exceed $1,055,480.00. FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator and all other required city officials are authorized to take such other actions and/or execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution. The contractor honored an option to leave the contract open for future repairs. An additional $200,000 added to this contract can be used for future repairs and is currently accounted for in the 2018-2019 budget BUDGETARY IMPACT: Approximately $200,000.00 will be expended out of the 2018-19 Street Maintenance budget.
