R-2019-057 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FITNESS EQUIPMENT FROM PRECOR AND CORE HEALTH & FITNESS,LLC WHEREAS, the City is currently rehabilitating the exercise workout space within the Public Safety building, and is in need of new fitness equipment; and WHEREAS, City Code Section 135.070.B authorizes the City to contract with a vendor for the purchase of goods or services without utilizing the competitive bidding procedures when, in the opinion of the Board of Aldermen, the purchase would be in the best interest of the City; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen determines that the purchase from Precor and Core Health & Fitness, LLC for fitness equipment without utilizing the competitive bidding procedures is in the best interest of the City because the City can purchase the Precor and Core Health & Fitness, LLC equipment utilizing the pricing scheduled available to the YMCA, which is significantly less than any available retail price available to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: THAT the Board of Aldermen approves the purchase of fitness equipment from Precor and Core Health & Fitness, LLC, as such equipment is listed and at such prices as described in the attachment hereto; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution.
