A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2020 CHEVROLET TAHOE SSV
4X4 VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT THROUGH ROBERTS CHEVROLET OFF
THE MID AMERICA REGIONAL COUNCIL GOVERNMENT BID FOR COOPERATIVE FLEET
PRICING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED$75,710.00
WHEREAS, the Police Department has a need for the acquisition of two (2) 2020 Chevrolet
Tahoe 4X4 SSV vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) has competitively bid and awarded
a contract to Robert's Chevrolet, Platte City, Missouri for the purchase of such equipment; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City.of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of two (2) 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV 4X4
vdhicles from Robert's Chevrolet off the MARC Equipment Bid List pricing in an amount not to
exceed $75,710.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of two (2) 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV 4X4 vehicles off the MARC
Equipment Bid List from Robert's Chevrolet, Platte City, Missouri in an amount not to exceed
$75,710.00 is hereby authorized, approved and ratified; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, or her designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the N"' day of July 2019.

BACKGROUND: This request is for the purchase of two 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV
4x4 vehicles. The vehicles are being purchased through the MARC cooperative
purchasing governmental contract through Robert's Chevrolet. The current
vehicles being replaced are 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe's. This vehicle request was
included as part of the 2019-2020 approved budget. The 2012 Tahoe's will be
used as pool vehicles for the police and fire department.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: $75,710.00 (This request does not included emergency
equipment or installation)
