AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE VI, CHAPTER 600.130 "EMPLOYEE
PERMIT" OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI,
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri (the "City") has in place regulations
pertaining to liquor within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City and its staff have conducted a review of the City's Municipal
Code (the "Code") sections regarding Liquor License Employee Permits, and have
determined that certain provisions related to such regulations must be revised; and
WHEREAS, the City staff and the Board of Aldermen have reviewed, examined
and deemed adoption of the amended and restated Code provisions regarding Liquor
License Employee Permits to be advisable and in the City's best interests for the promotion
of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it Ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, as follows:
Section 1. Section 600.130 of the Municipal Code of the City of Riverside,
Missouri are hereby repealed in their entirety and replaced by the following:
SECTION 600.130: EMPLOYEE PERMIT
All persons employed in the establishment having an all inclusive or beer license shall be
twenty-one (21) years of age or older and must obtain a permit to do so from the Liquor
Commission or the Director of Public Safety if such authority be delegated to him/her.
Provided however, in those establishments having an all inclusive or beer license and
which sell food for consumption on the premises and which the percentage of all sales of
food on the premises consist of at least fifty percent (50%) of all sales then in that event
persons eighteen (18) years of age or older may act in the capacity of a waiter or waitress,
accept payment for or serve intoxicating liquor or non-intoxicating beer, provided however,
nothing in this Section shall authorize persons under twenty-one (21) yeazs of age to mix or
serve across the baz intoxicating beverages or non-intoxicating beer. Provided further, in
all businesses where at least fifty percent (50%) of the gross sales consist of goods,
merchandise or commodities other than intoxicating liquor or non-intoxicating beer in the
original package, persons at least eighteen (18) years of age or older may stock, arrange
displays, accept payment for, and sack for carryout intoxicating liquor or non-intoxicating
beer. All applicants to procure such a permit shall be fingerprinted by the Public Safety
Department and furnish to said Public Safety Department an identifying photograph in
duplicate of the person to be employed. Such applicant shall pay the sum of twenty-one
dollazs ($21.00) for such permit. If such permit cazd becomes lost before the date of
expiration, another card will be issued upon application and the sum of one dollaz.

Section 2. The provisions of the Municipal Code of the City of Riverside,
Missouri revised herein shall not be construed to revive any former ordinance, clause or
provision of the Municipal Code of the City of Riverside, Missouri.
Section 3. This Ordinance overrides any conflicting provision or regulation
within the Municipal Code of the City of Riverside, Missouri.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
