ORDINANCE NO. 2009-10
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE RIVERSIDE HEALTHY CITIZEN AND
HEALTHY EMPLOYEE INITIATIVES PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH
THE YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF GREATER KANSAS CITY
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen is charged with protecting the public health, safety
and general welfaze of the citizens of Riverside; and
WHEREAS, in an attempt to carry out this duty, the Boazd of Aldermen and the City
created the Riverside Healthy Citizen Initiative Program and Healthy Employee Initiative
Program (the "Progams"), the purpose of which is to allow the citizens and employees of the
City to participate in health, wellness and physical recreation activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Boazd of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, and follow:
Section 1. The City shall enter into an amended agreement with the Young Men's
Christian Association of Greater Kansas City (the "YMCA's providing for the payment of
application and membership fees, verification of residency, and collection of usage data as set
forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The City Administration and City Staff are hereby authorized to perform all
the acts and execute any other documents necessary or desirable to effectuate the intent of this
Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City is pleased to offer City of Riverside employees all of
the benefits of a YMCA membership. The YMCA of Greater Kansas City agrees to
reduce the membership fees to the rates listed below.
Through February 2009, the monthly membership fee is;b1 for an individual and;77 for
a household. The city's contribution is currenHy 78°~ (;38.26) for individual and;78°k
f;57.75) for household leaving the employee's responsibility of;12.75 and;19.26
respectively.
Effective March 1, the monthly membership fee will be;54 for an individual and;81 for a
household. With your current contribution of 75% (;40,60) for individual and 76°k
(560.75) for household, your employee's new rate will be;13.50 and;20.25 respectively.
Based on the level of your contribution, your employees will be able to take a 25°k
discount on YMCA programs for themselves and their families.
Please let me know if your contribution will remain the same in 2009 or if you plan to
increase your contribution for your employee's memberships. If further discussion is
needed regarding the amount of your contribution, please contact me about that as well.
Once your decision has been determined, all members under the City plan will be notified
30 days prior to the membership rate adjustments.

benefits of a YMCA membership. The YMCA of Greater Kansas City agrees to reduce
the membership fees to the rates listed bebw.

a household. The city's contributon is currently 78% (138.26) for individual and s76%
(:67.78) for household leaving the residents' responsibility of 112.76 and 119.26
respectively.

household. Wdh your curent contribution of 76% 00:60) for individual and 76%
(560.76) for household, your city residents' new rate will be:13.80 and 120.26
respectively. Based on the Irrrol of your contribution, your city residents will be able to
take a 26% discount on YMCA programs for themselves and their families.
