AN bRDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0.2004-83
CHANGING THE NAMES OF CERTAIN CITY STREETS IN THE
GATE WOODS SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri (the "City") has accepted the dedication of
three streets located in the Gate Woods Subdivision as public streets, and the names of such
streets were provided and established in the final plat of such subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the first such street, as indicated on the Replat of Gate Woods lst Plat -
Lots 1 thru 36 and Tract "A" - a subdivision in Platte County, Missouri, Sec. 33, TWP. 51, Rng.
33 (the "Plat"), is known as N.W. West Gatewoods Road; and
WHEREAS, the second such street, as shown on the Plat passing through Lots 20
through 25, is known as N.W. East Gatewoods Road; and
WHEREAS, the third such street, as indicated on the Plat as a cul-de-sac, is known as
N.W. 52nd Street Circle; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has been asked to review a proposal to change the subject
street names to provide for consistency and greater ease of use and to promote the public health,
safety and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the proposed street name changes would change the name of N.W. West
Gatewoods Road to N.W. Woodside Drive, the name of N.W. East Gatewoods Road to N.W.
Flintridge Drive, and the name of N.W. 52nd Street Circle to N.W. Woodside Court; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Riverside, Missouri
(the "Commission") considered and reviewed the proposed street name changes at its meeting of
August 12, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Commission recommended approval of the street name changes on
August 12, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri considered and
reviewed the proposed street name changes and the recommendation of the Commission at its
regular meeting on August 17, 2004;
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen determined that adopting and approving the
proposed street name changes is in the best interests of the City and promotes the public health,
safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri; as follows:

Section 1. The street known as N.W. West Gatewoods Road within the City of
Riverside, Missouri, as described, shown and reflected on the Replat of Gate Woods 1st Plat -
Lots 1 thru 36 and Tract "A" - a subdivision in Platte County, Missouri, Sec. 33, TWP. 51, Rng.
33, recorded with the Platte County Recorder of Deeds on July 19, 2002, at Book 19, Page 310,
shall be renamed and shall hereafter be known as N.W. Woodside Drive.
Section 2. The street known as N.W. East Gatewoods Road within the City of
Riverside, Missouri, as described, shown and reflected as passing through Lots 20 through 25 on
the Replat of Gate Woods 1st Plat -Lots 1 thru 36 and Tract "A" - a subdivision in Platte
County, Missouri, Sec. 33, TWP. 51, Rng. 33, recorded with the Platte County Recorder of
Deeds on July 19, 2002, at Book 19, Page 310, shall be renamed and shall hereafter be known as
N.W. Flintridge Drive.
Section 3. The street known as N.W. 52nd Street Circle within the City of Riverside,
Missouri, as described, shown and reflected as a cul-de-sac on the Replat of Gate Woods 1st Plat
- Lots 1 thru 36 and Tract "A" - a subdivision in Platte County, Missouri, Sec. 33, TWP. 51,
Rng. 33, recorded with the Platte County Recorder of Deeds on July 19, 2002, at Book 19, Page
310, shall be renamed and shall hereafter be known as N.W. Woodside Court.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall not be deemed to amend any provisions of the Plat
except as specifically stated and set forth herein.
Section 5. The Mayor shall have authority to take such actions and to execute such
documents as she shall deem reasonably necessary to carry out the provisions and intent of this
Ordinance.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
