Alderman LoPorto—Travis has done a wonderful job. A neighbor
has had some difficult and unfortunate issues and Travis
responded and dealt with it, which is probably not common in
most cities. Also, our family has been to the park about three
times a week since the barriers were down. The investment there
has shown the level of interaction the park has generated for
various ages is very impressive. It impressed me that the
contractors were present for the ribbon cutting. The trail
connecting the park from one end of the city to the other, it seems
all the plans are coming to fruition, there is more to do, but it has
been amazing.
Alderman Cretsinger— Brian's presentation about the reaction to
the water issue at the apartments yesterday, it is one thing to be
reactionary and one thing to be proactive. Because of our size of
city together with a very engaged staff and big hearts, it truly
shows by example how we treat people and care.
MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Thatcher moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:53 p.m.,
second by Alderman LoPorto.
Yes: Thatcher, LoPorto, Hammond, Cockrell, Cretsinger, and
Bowman.
