OFFICER
AGENDA DATE: July 7, 2020
BACKGROUND: This request is for the purchase of a new in-car video system to
include two new interview room systems along with body cameras. The system
will be replacing our current aged system that is no longer supported and is only
partly operational. The endeavor provides for eight in-car systems, a complete
interview room system for both of our interview rooms providing video and
audio, and body cameras that will be issued to each officer so they have their
own; they will also have the ability to record events whenever they are working in
an officer capacity for example off duty at Red X or Park Hill South. The initial
purchase includes all the hardware, removal and installation of in-car equipment,
software, and training. There will be an annual licensing fee of $.00%yrs&
beginning year two of system ownership. The system selected manufactured by
WatchGuard. The purchase is being completed in conjunction with Motorola
Solutions off of a GSA cooperative purchasing agreement.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: $127,000 year one then $7,410 beginning year two
