Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri
February 25, 2003
A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the
City Hall of Riverside, Missouri on February 25, 2003 at 6:30 p.m.
Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Beard, Darata, Legaard, Bums, Looker
and Flaws.
Also in present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, John Jackson, City Engineer, and Matt
Kitzi, City Attorney's office.
Discussion with KCPL Pam Cook ,Joe Miller and Greg Parmely with Kansas City Power & Light Co.
discussed with the boazd the idea to bury the electric lines on NW Gateway from
Ray's Muffler to North I-29. Mr. Parmely cited options to the board.
Discussion with Gary Creason, Creason Management, Inc. discussed a proposed contract with
Gary Creason the board. He said the low water crossing and hydraulic openings along Line
Creek was not feasible. He provided the city with a certificate of insurance for
worker's compensation and professional liability. He stated Walt Wisdom
would provide a model for line creek showing where the water would back up
and cause flooding up stream. No action was taken on the proposed contract.
Bill No. 2003-18 Alderman Flaws moved to place Bill No. 2003-18 on its fast reading, said Bill

Ordinance No. 2003-18 Alderman Flaws moved to place Bill No. 2003-18 on its second reading
Approved and upon passage of same, become Ordinance No. 2003-18 seconded by Alderman
Legaard, the vote was:
Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Dazata, Beard, Legaazd, Burris and Looker.
Motion carries.
Bill No. 2003-19 Alderman Looker moved to place Bill No. 2003-19 on its first reading, said Bill

Motion carries.
By unanimous decision, the board adjourned at 8:28 p.m.
