HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-04-29 SpecialMinutes of Special Meeting of Boazd of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri Apri129, 2003 A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall of Riverside, Missouri on April 29, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Beard, Darata, Legaazd, Burris, Looker and Flaws. Also present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, Mike Duffy, City's consultant, John Jackson, City Engineer, Matt Kitzi, Kevin Bird and Ben Prell, City Attorney's office. Motion for Closed Alderman Looker moved that the meeting go into closed session, Session at 6:34 p.m pursuant to RSMo 610.021(1) for discussion of Legal Issues, RSMo 610.021(2) Real Estate with the City Attorney, seconded by Alderman Dazata, and the vote was: Aye: Alderman Beazd, Darata, Burris, Flaws, Looker and Legaard. Motion Carries. Motion for Open Alderman Burris moved that the meeting go into open session, Session at 7:40 p.m. seconded by Alderman Flaws and the vote was: Aye: Alderman Burris, Looker, Darata, Legaard, Beard and Flaws. Motion Carries. Recess A brief recess was called at 7:48 p.m. Reconvene The Mayor and all Aldermen responded to roll call. Jim Trimble, Gate Woods Jim Trimble, Gate Woods Development made a request for a Building Building Pernrit Request Permit to add a new curb inlet and storm sewer drain sanitary sewer tap Tabled and replace curb inlets with permission to cut the street and would post bond. Alderman Beard moved to table the request until the next meeting in order to review the plans, seconded by Alderman Looker the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Beard, Legaard, Darata, Looker and Bums. Kevin Bird, City Attorney's Office Bill No. 2003-23 Approving the amendments to the Gateway Grant & Loan Motion carries. Kevin explained the amendments made to the Gateway Grant and Loan Program. Alderman Flaws moved to place Bill No. 2003-23 on its first reading, said Bill approving the amendments to the Gateway Grant and Loan Revitalization Program, seconded by Alderman Beard, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Bums, Looker, Dazata, Legaazd, Flaws and Beard. Motion carries. Mies. 4/29/03 Ordinance No. 2003-23 Alderman Darata moved to place Bill No. 2003-23 on its second Approved reading and upon passage of same, become Ordinance No. 2003-23, seconded by Alderman Flaws, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Legaard, Beard, Darata, Looker, Burris and Flaws. Motion carries. Motion for Closed Alderman Dazata moved that the meeting go into closed session, Session at 8:30 p.m. pursuant to RSMo 610.021(3) for Personnel Issues with the City Attorney, seconded by Aldern~an Beard, and the vote was: Aye: Alderman Beard, Dazata, Burris, Flaws, Looker and Legaard. Motion Carries. Motion for Open Alderman Bums moved that the meeting go into open session, Session seconded by Alderman Flaws and the vote was: Aye: Alderman Bums, Looker, Dazata, Legaard, Beard and Flaws. Motion carries. Alderman Flaws Comment Alderman Flaws said Ray's Collision has yellow cabs in the back. Adjournment By unanimous decision, the meeting adjourne at 9:15 p.m. City Clerk Mins. 4/29/03
