R-2020-114 A RESOLUTION APPROVING TASK ORDER NUMBER 2 WITH RENAISSANCE INFRASTRUCTURE CONSULTING, INC. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: THAT the Riverside Board of Aldermen hereby approves Task Order Number 2 by and between the City of Riverside and Renaissance Infrastructure Consulting, Inc., in substantially the form attached hereto, and the Mayor is authorized to execute the Task Order Number 1 on behalf of the City, and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized, and FURTHER THAT this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval. Robin Kincaid, City Clerk 1 Task Order Number 2 For Engineering Services This Task Order is entered into as of the 1511 day of December, 2020 (the "Effective Date"), by and between Renaissance Infrastructure Consulting, Inc., a Kansas corporation having an office at 5015 NW Canal St, Riverside, Missouri 64150 ("RIC") and the City of Riverside, Missouri, a Missouri municipal corporation (the "City"). WHEREAS, the City has engaged RIC to provide engineering services pursuant to the Agreement for Engineering Services dated October 20, 2020 pursuant to which the City may task RIC to provide additional professional engineering services on a project-specific basis by acknowledging a separate Task Order. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and mutual covenants between the parties and for other good and valuable consideration the receipt of which is acknowledged by the parties, they agree as follows: 1. Incorporation of Base Agreement. This Task Order is subject to all terms and conditions contained in the Agreement for Engineering Services dated October 20, 2020, that are not inconsistent with the specific terms contained herein, and the Agreement for Engineering Services dated October 20, 2020, between the parties is incorporated herein as if set forth in full by this reference. 2. Scope of Services. The Scope of Services pursuant to this Task Order are as contained in Exhibit A. 3. Term. RIC shall begin work pursuant to this Task Order No. 1 upon its Effective Date and shall continue until the 40th Street Small Lot Industrial Project 621-080 ("Project') is completed as evidenced by final acceptance of the Project by the City. 4. Compensation. Compensation is set forth in this Task Order in Exhibit B. 5. Project Schedule. RIC will prepare a boundary survey and legal description of the proposed subdivision. Task 102: Easements & Legal Descriptions Various easements and legal descriptions may be required throughout the project development process for utilities, public and private easements and land transactions. RIC's licensed land surveyor will prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for easements and other requirements as needed for the project. Task 103: Design Charrette The RIC civil design team will assist with developing design concepts and participate in a predesign charrette with the City staff and designated City officials to establish a mutual understanding of project requirements. RIC will document all civil related items so that they may be incorporated into the design development process. Task 104: Stormwater Report RIC will prepare a stormwater study for submittal to the City outlining the proposed stormwater conveyance system and verification that the proposed plan does not create adverse impacts to adjacent properties. In addition; this study will examine and recommend stormwater detention requirements consistent with City Code. This study is required for approval of the Final Plat. Task 105: Final Plat The City will require that the property be platted to allow for subdivision or sale and for dedication of public rights of way and easements. A single plat will be prepared in accordance with requirements of the governing municipality. RIC will assist the City in coordinating the recording of the Final Plat with the County. Fee includes assistance with preparation of applications to support for processing the Final Plat through Planning Commission and Board of Alderman, and attendance at both meetings. Task 106: Public Street and Storm Improvement Plans RIC will prepare public improvement plans for construction of approximately 1,050 L.F. of public storm sewer and street with cul-de-sac required for the project including necessary pavement markings and signage. RIC will prepare and submit the required application materials and plans in accordance with City requirements for a public improvement permit. RIC will also assist in the public bidding project. Included with this task, RIC will locate the proposed streetlights for use by Evergy in their design and coordination with Missouri American Water to assist the with the public water main extensions. Also included will be project as-builts for the City's records. Task 107: Public Sanitary Sewer Improvement Plans RIC will prepare construction plans for the construction of approximately 1400 L.F. of public sanitary sewer main extension associated with this project. RIC will also assist in the public bidding process. This task includes coordination with Kansas City Water Services to obtain approval of the main extension plans. Also included will be project as-builts for the City's records. Task 108: Land Disturbance Plan and Permit RIC will prepare the land disturbance plan, an NOI and a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) for this phase of the development. RIC will assist in submission to MDNR and the City as required. Task 109: Construction Administration RIC will provide construction administration services to review shop drawings and submittals to assist the client with contractor requests for information and attend construction progress meetings. Services include preparation and attendance at pre-construction, construction progress meetings, and post construction inspections and punch list activities. Direct Expenses: Including mileage, printing, long distance, overnight delivery services, and duplication.
