AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF A MEMBER TO THE
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI TAX INCREMENT FINANCING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City, pursuant to the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation
Redevelopment Act, Section 99.800 to 99.865, R.S.Mo., as amended ("Act"), established the
Tax Increment Financing Commission of Riverside, Missouri ("Commission"); and
WHEREAS, the Commission consists of eleven members, six representing the City, two
representing the county, two representing the school district and one representing the other
taxing districts; and
WHEREAS, Section 99.820(2)(3) of the Act requires that the Mayor appoint the
members representing the City and that the Board of Aldermen approve such appointments; and
WHEREAS, the term of Bill Bright, one of the City's representatives, expired
September 17, 2005; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the Mayor appoint and the Board of
Aldermen approve a new commissioner since Mr. Bright's term has expired.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Aldermen of Riverside,
Missouri, as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor Pro Tem has appointed and the Board of Aldermen do hereby
consent to and approve the appointment of Bob Archer as the new commissioner appointed, for
the term beginning on the date hereof and ending September 17, 2008 or until a replacement is
appointed and approved.
Section 2. The Mayor, the City Administrator or any representatives thereof are hereby
authorized to and shall execute all documents and engage in all activities necessary to carry out
the intent of this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
ADOPTED AND PASSED THIS 29th DAY OF NOVEMBER 2005.
