Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri
June 10, 2003
A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the
City Hall of Riverside, Missouri on June 10, 2003 at 6:00 p.m
Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Beazd, Darata, Legaard, Burris, Looker
and Flaws.
Also present was David Blackburn, City Administrator and Mat Kitzi, City Attorney's office.
Discussion on North- The City of Northmoor's tornado clean up bill from E.S.I. is $65,000.
moor tornado clean up Mayor Burch said they have thirty days to pay and would like for the City to
pay half, $32,500.
Motion to help North Alderman Bums moved to pay for the difference (whatever FEMA doesn't pay
moor pay for tornado for the tornado clean up), seconded by Alderman Dazata, the vote was:
clean-up, Approved
Aye: Aldermen Burris, Looker, Darata, Legaard, Beazd and Flaws.
Motion carries.
Motion to pay $500 Alderman Flaws made a motion to pay $500 to Finnegan & Finnegan
for intervention in the for intervention regarding the Missouri American Co.'s water rate increase case,
water rate increase case seconded by Alderman Legaard, the vote was:
Approved
Aldermen Bums, Beard, Darata, Legaazd, Looker and Flaws.
Motion carries.
Motion for Closed Alderman Dazata moved that the meeting go into closed session, pursuant
Session at 6:37 p.m to RSMo 610.021(1) for discussion of Legal Issues and RSMo 610.021(2)
Real Estate with the City Attorney, seconded by Alderman Beazd, and the
vote was:
Aye: Alderman Beazd, Darata, Bums, Flaws, Looker and Legaard.
Motion Carries.
Motion for Open Alderman Flaws moved that the meeting go into open session, seconded by
Session at 6:58 p.m Alderman Legaard, and the vote was:
Aye: Alderman Burris, Looker, Darata, Legaard, Beard and Flaws.
Motion Carries.
Budget work A budget workshop session was held.
Adjournment By unanimous decision, the meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
