Adjournment
Elaine Warren made a motion to approve the minutes of September 3, 2014. Debbie
Leader seconded the motion. All voted in favor. Motion passed.
Meredith Hauck presented the results of the ETC survey to the Parks Board. The
Board discussed areas where Parks and Recreation had significant decreases since
2012 — Programming for Kids, Programming for Adults, and Programming for
Seniors. Additional programs have been added in all of these areas over the past two
years and attendance is good so the reason for the rate decrease is unknown. The
board discussed that one issue might be that the events and the success of the events
aren't being marketed well enough. Ken Smith suggested used the Nixle service to
send out reminders for the events.
Tom Wooddell reported that Zone 1 of the MRT was reopened after being closed for
two years. Unfortunately, Zone 3 closed on November 5 for the next two years due
to the US -69 bridge project.
Tom also reported that the Linear Trail had been patched and was open again.
The next meeting will be January 7, 2015 at 6:OOp.m.
The Parks Board adjourned at 6:42p.m. by unanimous consent.
