HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-09-22 SpecialMinutes of Special Meeting of Boazd of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri September 22, 2003 A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, was held in the City Hall, of Riverside, Missouri, on September 22, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Bums, Looker, Darata, Legaazd, Beard and Super. Also present were, David Blackburn, Steve Crystal City Attorney, John DeHardt, John Stacy and Joe Bednaz and Matt Kitzi, City Attorney's office. Master Plan Development Representatives from Kessinger Hunter, Redd Development and Argosy South side of Highway 9 were present , i.e.Kendra Minor, Mike McGrew, Henry Englehart, Mr. Nelson, Matt Webster and Rick Worner, Oppenheimer to discuss the Master Plan Development South of 9 Highway. John Gorley from St. Joseph was also present. Mr. Worner said we needed 50% retail. Mr. Webster talked about the retail development and John DeHazdt talked about Commercial and Industrial. The board was polled about what they would like to see for the development for destination and location. They would like to see all phases before entering into a retail agreement. Bill No. 2003-91 Alderman Beazd moved to place Bill No. 2003-91 on its first reading, Author. the City to said Bill authorizing the City of Riverside, Missouri, to employ employ Kimberly Henry Kimberly L. Henry as a part-time seasonal employee in the Parks as part-time in the Parks Department for the City of Riverside, Missouri at an hourly rate of Dept $8.00 to be effective September 16, 2003 with no benefits, seconded by Alderman Burris, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Bums, Super, Darata, Beard, Legaard and Looker. Motion carries. Ordinance No 2003-91 Alderman Dazata moved to place Bill No. 2003-76 on its second Approved reading and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 2003-91 upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 2003-76, seconded by Alderman Looker, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Super, Dazata, Burris, Legaard, Beard and Looker. Motion carries. Alderman Legaazd's comment Alderman Legaazd believed the planned development south of 9 Highway should be a Mediterranean theme like the Argosy. Adjourmnent By unanimous decision, the board adjourned at 8:40 p.m 8 Mayor
