AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN, AND DIRECTING THE CITY
ADMINISTRATOR TO IMPLEMENT THE PLAN
WHEREAS, City staff determined the need to review its current pay plan structure that
was last adopted in 2017 due to inflationary increases, shifts in the employment market for certain
positions, and salary range compression for certain positions; and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator developed a compensation plan to address these
issues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 - Compensation Plan Adopted. The Compensation Plan, attached hereto, is hereby
adopted.
Section 2 - Implementation. The City Administrator is hereby directed to implement the
Compensation Plan and adjust salaries accordingly.
Section 3 - Further Authority. The Mayor, City Administrator, and other appropriate City
officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or
convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Ordinance and to execute and deliver
for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments,agreements and other documents,as may
be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
Section 4 - Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Board of Aldermen and approval by the Mayor.
BE IT REMEMBERED that the above was read two times by heading only, PASSED AND
APPROVED by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of the City
