HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-02-26 SpecialMinutes of Special Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside February 26, 2002 A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall of Riverside, Missouri on Febrnazy 26, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. Legaard. Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Beard, Burris, Wedua Flaws, Darata, and Also present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, John Jackson, City Engineer, Steve Crystal, City Attorney, John McClelland, City Attorneys office. Motion for Closed Alderman Beard moved that the meeting go into closed session at Session 6:45 p.m. pursuant to RSMo 610.021(1), Legal Issues, RSMo 610.021(2) real Estate, and 610.021(3) personnel issues with the City Attorney, seconded by Alderman Darata, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Legaard, Flaws, Wedua and Burns and Beard. Motion carries. Motion for Open Alderman Beard moved that the meeting go into open session at 7:15 Session p.m. seconded by Alderman Burris, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Legaard, Flaws, Beazd, Wedua and Bums. Motion carries. SOd' Street Bid discussion The SOd' Street bids was opened Friday, February 22nd. There were twelve bids received. John Jackson, City Engineer will proceed with bid review. Anderson Survey Alderman Beard moved to approve Anderson Survey to update the to update zoning map and City's zoning map and revise the city's legal description at a cost of city's legal description revision $1,400, seconded by Alderman Wedua, the vote was: Approved Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Beard, Wedua, Burris, Darata and Legaard. Motion carries. Bell Tower Carillon Alderman Flaws moved to table the Bell Tower Carillon discussion discussion Tabled until the next meeting, March 5`h until the Park Board has time to review, seconded by Alderman Darata, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen, Legaard, Flaws, Beard, Wedua and Bums and Darata Motion carries. Right-Of-Way Alderman Beazd moved to approve the Offer to Purchase and Right-Of- Contract with KC Leasing Way Purchase Contract between K.C. Leasing, Inc. and the City of Approved Riverside, Missouri at a cost of $552.00, seconded by Alderman Wedua, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Beard, Wedua, Burris, Darata, and Legaazd. Motion carries. Aldermen Comments Alderman Legaard commended the Public Works Department for a well-done job on picking up limbs. Alderman Wedua asked if MoKan Container had moved their equipment from the City property and it was stated most all has been moved.
