A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2021 BUSH HOG TDC-1500 TRI DECK
MOWER THROUGH ST. JOSEPH TRACTOR, ST. JOSEPH, MISSOURI FOR THE RIVERSIDE
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $19,447.30
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need to replace a 1996 Bush Hog TD-1500
finish mower; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the St. Joseph Tractor, St. Joseph, Missouri has competitively bid and was
awarded a Local Government Purchasing Cooperative Buy Board Contract #611-20, for the
purchase of such equipment; and
WHEREAS.. funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of a Bush Hog TDC-1500 Tri Deck Mower from St.
Joseph Tractor, St. Joseph, Missouri through the Local Government Purchasing Cooperative Buy
Board Contract # 611-20 pricing in an amount not to exceed $19,447.30 for the Riverside Public
Works Department;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of a Bush Hog TDC-1500 Tri Deck Mower from St. Joseph Tractor, St.
Joseph, Missouri through the Local Government Purchasing Cooperative Buy Board Contract #
611-20 pricing in an amount not to exceed $19,447.30 for the Riverside Public Works Department is
hereby approved, and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, and/or the Public Works Director, or their
designees, are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this
transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the 20th day of July 2021.

BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase a Tri-Deck finish mower was included in the 2021-2022
budget. The new Bush Hog TDC-1500 Tri-Deck finish mower will be replacing a 1996 Bush Hog TD-
1500 finish mower. The new mower will be purchased from St. Joseph Tractor Inc., St. Joseph, MO.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2021-2022 fiscal budget included $67,000 for the purchase
price of the mower. Cooperative purchasing was established through Buy Board contract NO.611-20
at $19,447.30.
