Boazd of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri
June 3, 2002
A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the
City Hall of Riverside, Missouri on June 3, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.
Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Beard, Looker, Darata, Legaard and
Flaws. Alderman Burris, absent.
Also present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, Louise Rusick, City Clerk, John Jackson,
City Engineer, Steve Crystal, City Attorney and John McClelland, City Attorney's office.
Discussion on Gate Woods Mayor Burch said there was a meeting today and thought most of the
Development, L.L.C. issues were resolved.
Lillie Trimble speaks for Gate The drainage calculations- swells have been completed. They are in the
Woods, L.L.C. process of obtaining the remainder of the as-built plans.
The DNR report has not been obtained as yet. The Inlet Structure is in
the process of being looked at. The drainage calculations are on an
eazlier plat.
Mayor Burch says once the development is approved, the city should let
Gate Woods go ahead with plans.
Alderman Looker and Darata had no additions to the list.
Alderman Legaard asked if each time a house was built a plan would be
presented and the answer was, "yes".
No building permit will be approved until everything is turned in.
Fifty-six homes aze on Plat 1 and Plat II. Builders will be contacted to
sell lots.
Change the 3 to I slope. Velocity in drainage calculations. No
manufactured houses and no modulaz homes are to be in the covenants.
If the rain holds up building, the building permit can be issued.
Street Discussion Alderman Flaws moved to approve the $58,500 for one-half of 50th
Street, seconded by Alderman Beard, the vote was:
Aye: Aldermen Legaard, Darata, Beard, Flaws and Looker.
Absent: Alderman Burris.
Motion carries.
The required five items, drainage calculations-swells, As-built plans,
DNR Report, Inlet Structure, drainage calculations the boazd has asked
for will be presented at the next Tuesday, June 11 v, meeting.
Aldermen comments Alderman Looker asked about citizens being informed of city functions.
Mayor Burch said items were put in the newsletter.
Alderman Darata asked about a sign announcement boazd where the
people driving by could see it.
Alderman Flaws mentioned the weeds at the old Quik Trip.
Dennis Varble with Hoefer, Wysocki will be out to the check out the
microphones.
Adjournment By unanimous decision, the meeting adjourne 7: 0 p.m
