HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-12-10 Special~~ Minutes of Special Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri December 10, 2002 A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall of Riverside, Missouri on December 10, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Beard, Darata, Legaard, Burris, Looker and Flaws. Also in present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, John Jackson, City Engineer, Steve Crystal, City Attorney and Matt Kitzi, City Attorney's office. Motion for Closed Alderman Looker moved that the meeting go into closed session Session pursuant to RSMo 610.021(1), Legal Issues, RSMo 610.021(2) and Real Estate issues with the City Attorney, seconded by Alderman Burris, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Flaws, Legaard, Looker, Burris and Beard. Motion carries. Motion for Open Alderman Beard moved that the meeting go into open session, Session seconded by Alderman Flaws, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Flaws, Beard, Looker, Burris and Legaard. Motion carries. Boy Scouts approved Alderman Flaws moved to approve the Boy Scouts to use the to use Community Center Community Center on January 11th and February 22, 2003 for their annual Blue and Gold Banquet, seconded by Alderman Burris, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Beard, Looker, Burris, Legaard and Darata. Motion carries. City property, 3050 Vivion A discussion was held for the city property, 3050 NW Vivion Rd discussion (formerly the "Union Hall"). Mayor Burch said there is not any money budgeted for this fiscal year for the suggested comprehensive study of the building, lighting, plumbing, etc. Bill No. 2002-128 Alderman Looker moved to place Bill No. 2002-128 on its first Amending Chapter 600, reading, said Bill amending Chapter 600 of the Riverside City Code by Sect. 600.050(A)(8) of the amending Section 600.050(A)(8) regarding the number of resort city code re: resort Licenses available in the city for the sale of alcohol and liquor, licenses seconded by Alderman Beard and the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Beard, Looker, Burris, Flaws and Darata. No: Alderman Legaard. r .- Ordinance No. 2002-128 Alderman Bums moved to place Bill No. 2002-128 on its second reading Approved and upon passage of same, become Ordinance No. 2002-128 seconded by Alderman Beard, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Darata, Looker, Bums and Beard. No: Alderman Legaard. Motion caries. Adjournment By unanimous decision, the meeting adjourned at 8:16 p.m. Betty Bur
