A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A FIRE RESCUE PUMPER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Board approves the purchase of a Fire Rescue Pumper from Rosenbauer USA
through its dealer Missouri Valley Fire/Maxfire for a price not to exceed $763,953, all in
accordance with the Proposal dated January 12, 2022 pursuant to the H-GAC Cooperative
Purchase program. Furthermore, pursuant to City Code Section 135.070.B, finds this purchase to
be in the best interest of the City.
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the Fire Chief, and other
appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed
necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute
and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other
documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, the day of 2022.

Rosenbauer, in cooperation with their authorized dealer Missouri Valley Fire/Maxfire, is pleased to
offer the following to the Riverside Fire Department:
Rosenbauer EXT Pumper on Commander Chassis
Contract through HGAC-Total contract price $763,953.00
Optional discount, if payment is received upon completion of chassis ($12,916.00)

Additional discounts may be available upon request and customer defined payment parameters.
The estimated delivery time for the completed apparatus,is to be made 455 days after receipt of and approval

BACKGROUND:
The fiscal year 22 & 23 budgets allotted funds ($362,500 ea.) to purchase a new Fire
Rescue Pumper to replace the 1995 Pumper.
Staff is recommending the purchase off the HGAC contract a Fire Rescue Pumper from
Rosenbauer USA through their dealer Missouri Valley/Max Fire for a price not to exceed
$763,953.00
The contract provides an optional discount of approximately $12,916.00 if payment is
made upon completing the chassis portion of the Pumper. The actual amount if determined at
time of payment. Staff is recommending that we take this discount when it is offered.
This purchase is over budget by $38,953.00. If we choose to take the discount, we are
over budget by $26,037.00.
Several factors have created the over-budget situation-
1) Material prices have gone up several times over the last 12-18 months.
2) General price increase by the manufacture.
3) We added a pump control system that takes us into the future of operating these pumpers.
This system provides better safety for the operators on the scene as they can operate from
either side of the truck, getting them out of the lane of traffic and putting them on the side of
the incident so they can see it. Provides assurance one of the more expensive components
on the truck will not be damaged, increases the warranty to 10 yrs. from 5 yrs. More
straightforward to learn to operate.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The cost of this purchase shall not exceed $763,953.00. If we take the discount, the
price can be reduced at final payment to approximately $751,037.00
