HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-01-02Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside January 2, 2001 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on January i, 2001. Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Ron Super, Andy Morse, Pam Darata, Rochdk Legaard, Ray Beard and George Flaws. Also present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, Louise Rusick, City Clerk, Chief Wylie Simpson and Steve Crystal City Attorney. Minutes, Dec. 19, 2000 Alderman Beard moved to approve die minutes of December Approved 19, 2000, seconded by Alderman Darsta, die vote was: Aye: Aldermen Beard, Morse, Super, Flaws, Darata and Legaard. Motion carries. Comment by Mayor Mayor Burch mentioned Jackson Dawson Communications Advertising Agency, Inc. would like to rent the multipurpose room at the Community Center February 24"' and 25s' for demonstration meeting of a Ford Explorer to dealers. The board had no objection as long as We vehicle would go through We doors without incidence. Court Report for Mayor Burch announced the Court Report for December December presented. was received. Maderak change order Alderman Morse moved to approve the change order from Approved Madersk Construction is the amount of 52,527, seeonded by Alderman Beard, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Super, Flaws, Darata, I.egaard, Beard and Morse. Motion carries. Bill No. 2001-O1 Alderman Beard moved to place Bill No. 2000-01 on its first Payment of Bills reading, said Bill auWorizing the payment of certain indebtedness listed therein, seconded by Alderman Flaws, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Darata, Legaard, Morse and Beard and Alderman Super. Motion carries. Ordinance No. 2001-01 Alderman Flaws moved to place Bill No. 2001-Oi on its Approved second reading, and upon passage of same become Ordinance Na 2001-01, seconded by Alderman Morse, ~e vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Legaard, Beard, Morse and Super and Flaws. Motioa carries. Bill No. 2001-02 Alderman Morse moved to table Bill No. 2000-02, said Bill Tabled ratifying the acceptance of bids, seconded by Alderman Beard, ~e vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Legaard, Beard, Morse, Super, and Flaws. Motion carries. Bill No. 2001-03 Alderman Super moved to place Bill No. 2001-03 on its first Intergovernmental reading, said Bill authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement betwcen Intergovernmental agreement with the Mid America the City and MARC Regional Counc~7 Solid Waste Management District from Approved January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001 for the fce of $2,102.31, seconded by Alderman Morse, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Beard, Darata, Super, Legaard, Morse and Flaws. Motion carries. Ordinance No. 2001-03 Alderman Morse moved to place Bill No. 2001-03 on its Approved second readies, and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 2001-03, seconded by Alderman Flaws, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Beard, Legaard, Morse, Flaws and Super. Motion carries. Public Hearing date, time There will be a Public Hearing on the NW Gateway and announced ~vion Road improvements January 16"' st the Community Center from 3-7 p.m. Motion for Closed Session Alderman Super moved mat the mceting go into closed session pursuant to RSMo 610.021(1) Legal issues, RSMo (2) Real Estate,and RSMo 610.021(3) Personnel Issues with the City Attorney, seconded by Alderman Morse, the vote was: i Motion for Open Session Adjournment Aye: Aldermen Beard, Darata, Super, Flaws, Morse and Legaard. Motion carries. Alderman Darata moved that the meeting go into open session, seconded by Alderman Beard, the vote was: Aye: Aldermen Morse, Darata, Beard, Legaard, Flaws and Super. Motion carries.
