Minutes of Workshop Meeting of
Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside
March 12, 2001
A workshop meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the
City Hall of Riverside, Missouri on March 12, 2001.
Those in attendance were Mayor Betty Burch, Aldermen Beard, Morse, Super, Flaws, Darata and
Legaard.
Also present were City Administrator, David Blackburn, Wylie Simpson, Chief and John
McClellan, City Attorneys office.
Mayor Burch read a letter received from the Show-Me Working Rottweiler Club requesting the
use of the E.H. Young Park Riverwalk the weekend of Apri127-29.
Update on 50`~ Street Mayor Burch updated the board on the 50~' Street easements on Mrs. and
Easements. Wilburn Poe and Luigi Baldin, property owners. Mr. and Mrs. Poe agreed to
getting a split rail fence and not to get a driveway cut. The Pce's agreed to the
Permanent Easement and a large rock wall. The sidewalk is to remain on the
South side of the street.
Mayor Burch will meet with Mr. Baldin again and try to re-negotiate part of his
easement.
Show-Me Rottweiler Aldemurn Flaws moved to approve the Show-Me Rottweiler Club using the E.H.
Club approved to Young Riverfront Park (pending proof of X1,000,000 Liability Insurance) the
use the E.H. Young weekend of Apri127-29 for a regional level conformation show and breed test,
ltiverfront Park seconded by Alderman Beard, the vote was:

29 Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Legaard, Beard, Super, Morse and Legaard.
Motion carries.
Mayor Burchs' Mayor Burch read a letter from Jeremiah Finnegan regarding the Missouri Gas
comments Energy Rate Increase. The board had several questions and Mr. Finnegan will be
at the next regular board meeting.
David is to obtain more information from Infokwik regarding a website for the
City.
David is also to obtain more information on the cost regarding the NW Cherokee
drainage.
After a long discussion, it was decided to have (9) nine-work computer work
stations and (1) one server, all from MTC (Midwest Technology Connection
~.
Computers from MTC Alderman Beard moved to approve Midwest Technology Connection providing
technology equipment, i.e. (9) computer workstations, (1) one server and all
other items needed to connect this technology equipment, seconded by Alderman
Morse, the vote was:
Aye: Aldermen Flaws, Legaard, Beard, Super, Morse and Legaard.
Motion carries.
Trillium discussion John McClellan discussed the Trillium property and the City is waiting on the
Platte County Judges to make a decision.
Alderman comments Alderman Legaard mentioned resident Dwayne Hurlburt, 5005 NW Merrimac
said he is still having problems with the cut drain when the contractor was doing
work on NW Merrimac.
Chiefs' report Chief Simpson gave a detailed report on the Racial Profiling Data Report
submitted to the Attorney General's office.
Adjournment By unanimous decision, the board adjourned at 9:28 p.m.
