R-2022-076 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2022 KUBOTA MX 6000HSTC TRACTOR FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT THROUGH COLEMAN EQUIPMENT INC SMITHVILLE MISSOURI IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $39,506.54. WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need to replace a 2006 New Holland TL80A tractor; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and WHEREAS, the Local Government Purchasing Contract through Sourcewell No. 031121 as competitively bid and awarded to Coleman Equipment, Inc., Smithville, Missouri to purchase such equipment; and WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of a 2022 Kubota MX6000HSTC Tractor from Coleman Equipment, Smithville, Missouri off the Local Government Purchasing Contract Bid List pricing in an amount not to exceed $39,506.54. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT, the purchase of a 2022 Kubota MX6000HSTC Tractor from Coleman Equipment, Smithville, Missouri off the Local Government Purchasing Contract Bid List pricing in an amount not to exceed S39,506.54 is hereby authorized and approved; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, Public Works Director or other designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. The new Kubota Tractor will be replacing a 2006 New Holland TL80A tractor. The new tractor will be purchased from Coleman Equipment, Inc. Smithville MO. BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2022-23 fiscal budget included $70,000.00 for the purchase of a new tractor. Through the government purchasing program the price of the new tractor is $39,506.54.
