A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPONSORSHIP FOR THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES
ANNUAL CITY SUMMIT CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI IN 2022
WHEREAS, each year, the National League of Cities hosts the City Summit conference
for local leaders to convene, discuss, and find solutions to common challenges facing America's
cities; and
WHEREAS, City Summit will be held,in Kansas City, Missouri from November 17-19,
2022; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside desires to financially support the conference and
intends on representatives attending and participating in City Summit and gaining valuable
knowledge from the conference to better the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Board of Aldermen determines that sponsoring and participating in the
National League of Cities annual City Summit conference to be held in Kansas City, Missouri
furthers the general welfare of the City and its residents by providing opportunities for valuable
information and contacts; and
FURTHER THAT the Board of Aldermen approves sponsorship of City Summit in the
amount of$5,000.00; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, and other appropriate City
officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or
convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to carry out the terms
and conditions of such Contract, and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all
certificates, instruments, agreements, and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to
perform all matters herein authorized; and
PASSED•AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
