A RESOLUTION APPROVING TASK ORDER NUMBER 2 WITH WATERS EDGE AQUATIC
DESIGN
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Riverside Board of Aldermen hereby approves Task Order Number 2 by and
between the City of Riverside and Waters Edge Aquatic Design, in substantially the form
attached hereto, and the Mayor is authorized to execute the Task Order Number 2 on behalf of
the City; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator and other appropriate City officials
are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient
to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on
behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be
necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized; and
FURTHER THAT this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, the 19th

Task Order Number 2
For Engineering Services
This Task Order is entered into as of the 19th day of July, 2022 (the "Effective Date"), by
and between Waters Edge Aquatic Design, LLC, organized in the state of Kansas, having an office
at 11205 W 79th St, Lenexa, KS 66214 ("Waters Edge") and the City of Riverside, Missouri, a
Missouri municipal corporation (the"City").
WHEREAS, the City has engaged Waters Edge to provide engineering services pursuant to
the Agreement for Engineering Services dated October 19, 2021, pursuant to which the City may
task Waters Edge to provide additional professional engineering services on a project-specific basis
by acknowledging a separate Task Order.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and mutual covenants between the parties
and for other good and valuable consideration the receipt of which is acknowledged by the parties,
they agree as follows:
1. Incorporation of Base Agreement. This Task Order is subject to all terms and conditions
contained in the Agreement for Engineering Services dated October 19, 2021, that are not
inconsistent with the specific terms contained herein, and the Agreement for Engineering
Services dated October 19, 2021, between the parties is incorporated herein as if set forth in full
by this reference.
2. Scope of Services. The Scope of Services pursuant to this Task Order are as contained in
Exhibit A.
3. Term. Waters Edge shall begin work pursuant to this Task Order No. 2 upon its Effective Date
and shall continue until this initial scope for the Municipal Aquatics Improvements- 222-087
("Project") is completed as evidenced by final acceptance of the Project by the City.
4. Compensation. Compensation shall be in accordance with the attached schedule(see Exhibit B).
5. Project Schedule. See project schedule in Exhibit A.

Effective Date.

Scope of Services for
Municipal Aquatics Improvements-222-087
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Riverside desires to obtain construction documents and bidding specifications for
renovations to the municipal pool,associated equipment,bathroom building,and surrounding
infrastructure. The City has applied for the Land Water and Conservation Fund (LWCF)
grant through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR). Notice of grant
award is anticipated for October 2022. This project will consist of all necessary activities to
create construction documents, bidding specifications, and opinions of probable cost.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
• Project Management—The Consultant will regularly communicate with City staff
to provide progress updates and requested deliverables.
• Site Survey—Prepare a survey scope for Riverside's on-call surveyor.
• Construction Documents
o Full set of 22 x 34 construction drawings to include:
• Demolition
• Erosion Control
• Pool mechanical & pump equipment
• New concrete decks and piping
• Sandblasting and painting the pool
• ADA handrails and ramp into the pool
• Bathroom renovations for slip resistance&ADA compliance
• Electrical and site lighting
• Expansion of pool on shallow side
• Convert janitor'closet to universal family change room/restroom
• New pool decks, lounge areas, entry&concession/eating areas
• Fencing& gates around pool and between splash&pool area
• Borders/retaining walls for landscape beds
• Shade structures
• Synthetic Turf

• Spray ground features
• Spray ground mechanical &pump equipment
• Any other items necessary to construct the intent of the approved
pool master plan.
o Technical specifications for construction bidding. Front end documents will
be prepared by the City.
o Deliver a plan layout in AutoCAD format. Deliver a full set of Construction
Documents in PDF format.
• Opinion of Probable Cost
o Prepare a revised cost estimate at 60%construction documents
o Prepare a final cost estimate at 100% construction documents
• Bidding Services
o Consultant will respond to bidder questions and requests for
interpretation
o Consultant will review requests for substitutions and approve.
• Meetings/Conference Calls
o Participate in up to six(6)meetings with City of Riverside staff to review project
details and plan development. Meetings will include operational staff to determine
any needs/opportunities. One meeting could include a presentation to the Board of
Aldermen, if deemed necessary.
o Kick-off meeting to review master plan and determine final design intent.
o Monthly coordination meetings, 30%, 60% and 90%construction documents
