A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT FOR
TWO FORD 2023 EXPLORER POLICE INTERCEPTORS THROUGH 911 CUSTOMS IN AN
AMENDED AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $16,718.00
WHEREAS, the Police Department has a need for the Police Package for emergency
equipment and installation to equip two (2) Ford 2023 Explorer Police Interceptors that were
approved in the 2022-2023 budget; and
WHEREAS, Resolution R-2022-108 was approved on October 4, 2022, for the purchase
of emergency equipment in an amount not to exceed $14,335.00 and due to supply chain
issues, shipping, and increased fuel fees, the quote has increased by $2,374.00, amending the
amount not to exceed $16,718.00.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen ("Board") finds and determines that it is in the best
interest of the City to authorize the amended purchases herein described.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the Board approves the purchase of emergency equipment necessary to equip
two (2) Ford 2023 Explorer Police Interceptors in an amended amount not to exceed $16,718.00
from 911 Custom pursuant to its contract #CC201400007 with the State of Missouri for Whelen
products and graphics through Everlasting Signs; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the Police Chief, and other
appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed
necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to
execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and
other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized,
and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri,
the 15th day of November 2022.

BACKGROUND: This request is for the amending of resolution R-2022-108 for the
purchase of emergency equipment for two 2023 Ford Police Interceptors. Due to
supply chain issues and the increase in fuel costs, both product and shipping fees
increased dramatically since the original quote. The equipment will still be
purchased and installed through 911 Custom. The equipment is part of the
approved 2022-2023 budget.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: $2,374 (The original approved amount was $14,335 and
the new amount is $16,718)
