A RESOLUTION APPOINTING RICHARD LANNING TO THE PLANNING & ZONING
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the composition of the Riverside Planning & Zoning Commission is set
forth in the City Code and provides for the appointment of nine (9) Planning & Zoning
Commission citizen members by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Aldermen;
and
WHEREAS, Steven King was reappointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission in
2021 and his term was expiring in May 2025, or until a successor was duly appointed; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor desires to appoint Richard Lanning to the position vacated
by Steven King on the Planning and Zoning Commission, to the remainder of the term
expiring in May 2025, or until a successor is duly appointed; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the city to
approve and ratify such appointment as proposed by the Mayor;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT Richard Lanning, Ward III, 4411 NW Sienna Ridge, Riverside, Missouri; is
hereby appointed by the Mayor and ratified by the Board of Aldermen as a member of the
Planning & Zoning Commission to the remainder of the term ending in May 2025 or until a
successor is duly appointed; and
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the
Mayor of the City of Riverside, Missouri, the 15th day of November 2022.
