A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER 1 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH
DONDLINGER AND SONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR 2022 LINE
CREEK TRAIL CONNECTOR RESULTING IN A REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT
OF $544,136.50 FOR SUCH PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside ("City") issued an Invitation to Bid for the 2022 Line
Creek Trail Connector (Project 218-018 [RTP 2021-05]) ("Project") which was awarded to
Dondlinger and Sons Construction Company, Inc. pursuant to Resolution
R-2023-002; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen finds that it is in the best interest of the City to
approve Change Order 1 to the agreement with Dondlinger and Sons Construction Company,
Inc. resulting in a total revised contract amount not to exceed $544,136.50.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT Change Order 1 to the Agreement between Dondlinger and Sons Construction
Company, Inc. a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is approved and the
Mayor is authorized to execute the same on behalf of the City. The resulting revised total
contract amount shall not exceed $544,136.50.
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator and all other required city officials
are authorized to take such other actions and/or execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City
all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents as may be deemed necessary or
convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, the 20th day of June 2023.

2022 Line Creek Trail Connector (218-018 [RTP 2021-05])
BACKGROUND: The 2022 Line Creek Trail Connector project was approved on 0 1 - 1 1-2023. The
project consists of a trail connection from Renner Brenner Park to the east side
of Gateway Avenue. Project changes include:
• Increasing the depth of the precast box to get it under the wall footing and avoid
an existing water line.
• Reduced quantity of sediment filter log.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: Approximately $544,136.50 will be expended out of the 2022-2023 Line Creek
Trail Connector budget for completion of this project.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution and acceptance of the change order
