A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS TO PURCHASE A 2024 DOOLITTLE
UTILITY TRAILER THROUGH TRAILERS DIRECT OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, OFF THE
MARC GOVERNMENT COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $6,495.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for 2024 Doolittle Utility Trailer
that is 84" x 20', that was approved in the FY 2023-2024 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen ("Board") finds and determines that it is in the best
interest of the City to authorize the purchases herein described.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the Board approves the purchase of a 2024 Doolittle Utility Trailer through
Trailers Direct of Kansas City, 13307 S. 71 HWY, Grandview, Missouri, 64030, for the Public
Works Department, off the MARC Government Cooperative Purchasing Program, in an amount
not to exceed $6,495.00.
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the Public Works Director, and other
appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed
necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to
execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and
other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized,
and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.

RE: Purchase approval of a 2024 84" x 20' Doolittle Utility Trailer
BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase a Doolittle Utility Trailer was included in the 2023-2024
budget. The trailer will be purchased from Trailers Direct of Kansas City, a MARC participant dealer
using the MARC cooperative purchasing program.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2023-2024 fiscal budget included $8000.00 for the purchase of
the Doolittle Utility Trailer. The total cost of the trailer is $6495.00.
