A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE 2024 JOHN DEERE ZERO TURN
Z930M COMMERCIAL MOWERS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT USING THE
SOURCEWELL GROUNDS MAINTENANCE AG & TURF EQUIPMENT PRICING IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $34,212.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the acquisition of three 2024 John
Deere Z930M zero turn mowers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process, and
WHEREAS, Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance # 031121-DAC (PG NB CG 70) for Ag and
Turf Equipment Government Contract was competitively bid and awarded a to Heritage Tractor,
Inc., located 1300 S. US -169, Smithville, Missouri, 64089, for the purchase of such equipment; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of three 2024 John Deere Z930M zero turn
commercial mowers, using the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract for Ag and Turf
Equipment awarded to Heritage Tractor Inc., Smithville, Missouri, in an amount not to exceed
$34,212.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of three 2024 John Deere Z930M zero turn commercial mowers, using
the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract for Ag and Turf Equipment awarded to Heritage
Tractor, Inc., Smithville, Missouri, in an amount not to exceed $34,212.00 is hereby authorized and
approved, and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, Public Works Director, or other designee, is
hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City
Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.

BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase three John Deere Z930M commercial zero turn mowers was
included in the 2023-2024 budget. The mowers will be purchased from Heritage Tractor, Inc. using
the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance 031121-DAC (PG NB CG 70) for Ag and Turf Equipment
Government Contract.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2023-2024 fiscal budget included $39,600.00 for the purchase
of the three John Deere mowers. The total cost of the three mowers is $34,212.00.
