A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF GLOCK G45
PISTOLS AND ACCESSORIES FROM GT DISTRIBUTORS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $39,484.05 OFF THE STATE OF MISSOURI COOPERATIVE PURCHASE
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside Department of Public Safety utilizes Glock G17
9mm pistols for service weapons that will be traded in, and the value applied to the
purchase price of thirty-seven (37) new Glock G45 9mm pistols, holsters, sites for co -
witnessing. and upgraded electronic sights; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has
approved the practice of purchasing equipment and supplies from competitive bids awarded
by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has competitively bid certain police department
equipment and supplies utilized by the City of Riverside and has determined that the State
of Missouri Cooperative Purchase Contract awarded to GT Distributors as a contract
distributor to be the most competitive price; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the
City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of thirty-seven (37) Glock G45
Pistols and accessories in the amount of $39,484.05 from GT Distributors within budgeted
amounts for the fiscal year 2023-2024 from the State of Missouri cooperative purchase
contracted dealership;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the purchase of thirty-seven (37) Glock G45 Pistols and accessories from GT
Distributors in an amount not to exceed $39,484.05 is hereby authorized and approved; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, and staff are authorized to execute
all documents necessary to these transactions and the City Clerk is authorized to attest
thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, the 15'h day of August 2023.

BACKGROUND: This request is to purchase 37 Glock G45 9mm pistols, holsters, sites
for co -witnessing, and upgraded electronic sights. Our current pistols, Glock G17 9mm
pistols, will be traded in, and that value will be applied to the purchase price of the new
service weapons. This modification of our equipment will create a better shooter if
needed, but more importantly, reduce the chance of a missed round injuring a person or
damaging property. This request was approved in the 2023-2024 budget. The pistols
and equipment will be purchased through GT Distributors who is the Missouri contract
dealership.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: $28,015.05 (Cost for weapons and accessories is $39,484.05. After
a trade-in value of $11,469 is applied, the total is $28,015.05)
