A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER 3 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH
STAR SIGNS, LLC FOR THE 2021 WAYFINDING SIGN PROJECT RESULTING IN A
REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $157,690.00 FOR SUCH PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside ("City") issued an Invitation to Bid for the 2021
Wayfinding Sign Project (350-082) ("Project") which was awarded to Star Signs, LLC pursuant
to Resolution R-2021-032; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen finds that it is in the best interest of the City to
approve Change Order 3 to the agreement with Star Signs, LLC, resulting in a total revised
contract amount not to exceed $157,690.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT Change Order 3 to the Agreement between the City and Star Signs, LLC, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is approved and the Mayor is authorized to
execute the same on behalf of the City. The resulting revised total contract amount shall not
exceed $157,690.00.
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator and all other required city officials
are authorized to take such other actions and/or execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City
all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents as may be deemed necessary or
convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, the 15th day of August 2023.

2021 Wayfinding Sign Project (350-082)
The 2021 Wayfinding Sign Project included 8 street wayfinding signs and 23 trail
wayfinding signs. Three of the wayfinding signs are located within MoDOT right-
of-way and require some modifications to comply with MoDOT standards. This
change order with Star Signs will modify the three signs.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: Approximately $8,865.00 will be expended out of the 2024 budget for
completion of this project.

Star Signs, LLC., respectfully submits this price quote to provide MODOT style breakaway systems,
directional arrow copy, and Class B concrete (bentonite x2) on three of the wayfinding signs labeled (#1,
2, 3).
Scope of Work:
• Since these signs have already been assembled, we will cut off the existing plates, procure tube
and flat bar, reassemble with MODOT style breakaway system and repaint.
• Redo vinyl copy for MODOT style arrows.
• Use Class B concrete on installation.
• Use bentonite mixture with Class B concrete on Riverway and Tullison signs.
