A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN QTAC 70EMS-L
FIREFIGHTING & EMS SKID UNIT FROM MTECH INC IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $6,685.00
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Board approves the purchase of an QTAC 70EMS-L UTV Skid unit from
MTECH Inc in the amount not to exceed $6,685.00 in accordance with the attached Quote No.
12163; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the Fire Chief, and other
appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed
necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute
and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other
documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.

BACKGROUND:
The fiscal year 2024 budget allotted funds to purchase equipment for the fire department
out of the Public Safety Sales tax fund.
Staff is recommending the purchase of a QTAC 70EMS-L EMS & Firefighting Skid unit
from MTECH Inc. for a price not to exceed $6,685.00
This unit will be used to consolidate our fleet and allow for better response to incidents
requiring a UTV. Currently, we have two UTVs, one for EMS and one for grass /brush fires. With
the purchase of this, we can reduce our fleet to one UTV and auction off an older one. This will
result in future savings in maintenance and fleet replacement.
We received 5 quotes for this purchase-
RKO industries- $17,700.00
URUH industries- $10,587.50
URUH industries- $ 9,968.50
MTEC (QTAC)- $ 6,685.00
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The purchase cost shall not exceed $6,685.00
