R-2023-154 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF A FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND FOR FUNDING THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL POOL AND SPLASHGROUND BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: THAT the Riverside Board of Aldermen hereby approves the Financial Assistance Agreement (FAA) with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for the Land & Water Conservation Fund for funding for the Riverside Municipal Pool and Splashground, and FURTHER THAT the City of Riverside will allocate the minimum 78.24% matching share for the project elements as identified to complete the project; and FURTHER THAT upon signing and approval of the FAA by the Division of State Parks, the City of Riverside will commit the necessary financial resources to operate and maintain the area for public outdoor recreation use in perpetuity; and FURTHER THAT in the event financial assistance is awarded, the City of Riverside is prepared to complete the project within the time period identified on the FAA; and FURTHER THAT in the event financial assistance is awarded, the City of Riverside will comply with all rules and regulations of the Land & Water Conservation Fund, applicable Executive Orders. all state laws that govern the grant applicant during the performance of the project. and stewardship requirements after the project is completed; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates. instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized, and FURTHER THAT this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
