AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY'S EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK RELATED TO PAY
PLAN ADMINISTRATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN FOR THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI, as follows:
SECTION 1 — AMENDMENT. That Section 5.4 of the Employee Handbook, entitled Pay Plan
Administration, is hereby amended by adding the following two subsections,as follows:
N. Police Department Detective Sergeant On-Call
For each week of on-call service,the Detective Sergeant shall receive four(4)hours of paid
time off, at their regular hourly rate, which must be taken during the following week or it
will be lost without any additional compensation.These hours shall not be considered hours
worked for overtime purposes. Scheduling is subject to supervisory approval.
O. Police Department Shift Differential
Employees of the Police Department with the position title of Sergeant or Corporal shall be
entitled to additional pay for working the night shift. For hours worked between 6:00 p.m.
and 6:00 a.m., these employees will receive an additional seventy-five cents ($0.75) per
hour shift differential premium.
SECTION 2 — EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its passage and approval.
BE IT REMEMBERED that the above was read two times by heading only, PASSED AND
APPROVED by a majority of th Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of the City
