Iciq 7 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTHLAND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CENTER BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1 — FINDINGS; PUBLIC PURPOSE. That the Riverside Board of Aldermen ("Board") hereby finds and determines that the proposed Northland Workforce Development Center will be beneficial to the welfare and development of the City, especially in light of the City's Horizon's Industrial Park and other industry based employers. The State of Missouri has provided a $30,000,000 grant match towards construction of the NWDC. Job training and skills training are essential to ensure an adequate supply of current and future workers to meet business and industry demands. Accordingly, the Board finds and determines that its support of the NWDC is a public purpose. SECTION 2 — EXPENDITURE AUTHORIZED. That the Board hereby approves the expenditure of$250,000.00, and the City Administrator is authorized to expend this amount in response to the capital campaign for the construction of the NWDC SECTION 3 — AUTHORITY GRANTED. The Mayor, the City Administrator, Finance Director and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Ordinance and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized. SECTION 4 — EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in lull force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
