AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A 2024 SIDE LETTER AGREEMENT WITH THE
FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI REGIONAL
LODGE 50.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI, as follows:
Section 1. That the 2024 Side Letter Agreement by and between the City of Riverside and
the Fraternal Order of Police, West Central Missouri Regional Lodge 50, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is approved, and the Mayor is authorized to
execute the same on behalf of the City.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
adoption, and approval by the Mayor.
BE IT REMEMBERED that the above was read two times by heading only, PASSED AND
APPROVED by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of the
City of Riverside, Missouri, this 18th day of June 2024.

Side-Letter Agreement
The undersigned parties hereby agree to amend Appendix A of their 2023-2026 Labor Agreement by
replacing the original Appendix A Step System with a revised version as reflected on the attached
document. The attached document hereby replaces the entirety of the original Appendix A.
In conjunction with the adoption of the new Step System, all represented employees will remain at their
current numbered step, but at the revised wage rate for that step starting on July 1, 2024, until July 1,
2025. On July 1, 2025,they will be eligible to advance one step as provided for in Section 11.01.
As an example, if Officer Smith is currently on Step 4 with an estimated annual salary of$65,242, under
the current Appendix A, they will remain at Step 4 on July 1, 2024, but at the new Step 4 rate with an
estimated annual salary of$73,116. On July 1,2025,they would become eligible to move to the new Step
5.
