Home My WebLink AboutR-2025-010 Purchase of Drone Package from Dronenerds Inc RESOLUTION NO. R-2025-010 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A DRONE PACKAGE FROM DRONENERDS INC. WHEREAS, the City of Riverside Police Department requires the purchase of a drone package to enhance its operational capabilities; and WHEREAS, the City's Purchasing Agent has determined that DroneNerds Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the required package configuration, which includes the DJI Matrice 30T drone and other components, while matching GSA pricing and providing significant cost advantages to the City; and WHEREAS, Section 135.130 of the City Code allows for sole source purchasing when only one firm, company, or individual is capable of providing the required supplies or services, subject to a written determination by the requesting department head and approval by the Purchasing Agent; and WHEREAS, the Police Department and Purchasing Agent have documented the sole source justification for this purchase in writing, finding that DroneNerds Inc. is the exclusive vendor for the specific package meeting the City's needs; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT the Board of Aldermen hereby approves the sole source purchase of the drone package from DroneNerds Inc. in accordance with Estimate No. EST402685106, for the total cost of$22,780.00; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, Chief of Police, and other appropriate City officials are authorized to take all actions necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution. This includes executing and delivering any certificates, agreements, and other documents required for the purchase.
