R-2025-039 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED PARK DESIGN PLANS FOR THE INCLUSIVE PARK PURSUANT TO THE PARK DEVELOPMENT AND NAMING RIGHTS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND VARIETY OF GREATER KANSAS CITY — TENT 8. WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri (the "City"), has entered into a Park Development and Naming Rights Agreement (the "Agreement") with Variety of Greater Kansas City —Tent 8, a Missouri Nonprofit Corporation ("Variety"), for the development of an inclusive park (the "Park") to be located near the KC Current training complex at I-635 and Horizons Parkway; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, Variety has undertaken responsibility for the design of the Park and submitted proposed Park design plans to the City for review and approval; and WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed the proposed Park design plans and resolved all comments with Variety, and the Park Board has recommended the plans for approval; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI,AS FOLLOWS: THAT the Board of Aldermen hereby approves the proposed Park design plans submitted by Variety, as contemplated by the Agreement, including features such as the inclusive playground,picnic area, and perimeter walk; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the Capital Projects and Parks Manager, and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
