R-2025-075 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN THE 2025 KANSAS CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LEADERSHIP EXCHANGE PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce conducts an annual Leadership Exchange Program as an opportunity for regional business leaders and elected officials to learn from the experience of other communities in areas including regional collaboration, transportation planning and workforce development; and WHEREAS, the 2025 Leadership Exchange Program will review the efforts of Columbus, Ohio and identify opportunities for the Kansas City region to model solutions based on successful efforts in Columbus' metro area; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has been and continues to support collaborative regional efforts that improve the quality of life, health and safety for residents of our City and the region; and WHEREAS, the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City has offered a $1,000 scholarship to support the City's participation in the program with the remaining $2,900 to be funded through the City budget. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: THAT the Board of Aldermen hereby approves the City's participation in the 2025 Leadership Exchange program through the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and designates Mayor Kathy Rose as the City's representative for the program; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
