A RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN THE 2025 KANSAS CITY
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LEADERSHIP EXCHANGE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce conducts an annual Leadership
Exchange Program as an opportunity for regional business leaders and elected officials to learn
from the experience of other communities in areas including regional collaboration,
transportation planning and workforce development; and
WHEREAS, the 2025 Leadership Exchange Program will review the efforts of
Columbus, Ohio and identify opportunities for the Kansas City region to model solutions based
on successful efforts in Columbus' metro area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has been and continues to support collaborative
regional efforts that improve the quality of life, health and safety for residents of our City and the
region; and
WHEREAS, the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City has offered a $1,000 scholarship
to support the City's participation in the program with the remaining $2,900 to be funded through
the City budget.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Board of Aldermen hereby approves the City's participation in the 2025
Leadership Exchange program through the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and designates
Mayor Kathy Rose as the City's representative for the program; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, and other appropriate City
officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or
convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver
for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as
may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri,the 20th day of May 2025.

Dear Mayor Rose:
You are invited to register for the KC Chamber's Leadership Exchange trip to Columbus,
Ohio from Monday, September 15 to Wednesday, September 17. Leadership Exchange
gives Kansas City's business and civic leaders an opportunity to be immersed into the
successes and challenges of another metro area, identifying best practices we can bring to
Kansas City.
Who is Eligible to Attend Leadership Exchange?
• Attendees are executive (preferably C-suite) level thought leaders or decision
makers. You have been selected to register as an elected official.This invitation
is not transferable. The cost is $2,900.00.
What Does Leadership Exchange Include?
• Roundtrip charter air travel, two nights at The Junto Hotel, meals, and ground
transportation in Columbus.
• Presentations and panel discussions around innovation, regional
collaboration, transit and economic development with visits and tours of key
sites around Columbus.

• The best opportunity to network with other civic and business leaders from
the region!
How Do I Register?
• Please register at Leadership Exchange 2025. Registration is not confirmed
until your online form is complete.
• Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis. You will receive an
invoice after registering. Refunds are not available after July 16.
