R-2025-112 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE WANCO WVTM-A MESSAGE BOARDS THROUGH TAPCO TRAFFIC AND PARKING CONTROL CO LLC BROWN DEER WI FOR THE RIVERSIDE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $73,420.00 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for three (3) Wanco WVTM-A message boards: and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and WHEREAS, the OMNIA Partners has competitively bid and awarded a cooperative contract #2020-200 to TAPCO Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC 5100 West Brown Deer Road, Brown Deer, WI, 53223. for the purchase of such equipment; and WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of three (3) Wanco WVTM-A message boards from TAPCO Traffic and Parking Control Co., Brown Deer, WI, through OMNIA Partners purchasing cooperative contract #2020-200 pricing in an amount not to exceed $73,420.00 for the Riverside Public Works Department: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT, the purchase of three (3) Wanco WVTM-A message boards from TAPCO Traffice and Parking Control Co., Brown Deer, WI, through OMNIA Partners purchasing cooperative contract #2020-200 pricing in an amount not to exceed $73,420.00 for the Riverside Public Works Department is hereby approved; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the Public Works Director, and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized, and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. The Wanco message boards will be purchased from TAPCO Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC, an Omnia participant dealer using the Omnia partners purchasing program contract #2020-200. BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2025-2026 fiscal budget included $90,000.00 for the purchase of three Wanco message boards. The total cost of the Wanco message boards is $73,420.00.
