R-2025-109 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A JOHN DEERE XUV 845M GATOR UTV AND PLOW FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT USING THE SOURCEWELL GROUNDS MAINTENANCE AG & TURF EQUIPMENT PRICING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $35,790.00 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the acquisition of a new John Deere XUV 845M Gator and plow; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and WHEREAS, Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance #112624-DAC (PG NB CG 70) for Ag and Turf Equipment Government Contract was competitively bid and awarded a to Heritage Tractor, Inc., located 1300 S. US -169, Smithville, Missouri, 64089, for the purchase of such equipment; and WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of a new John Deere XUV 845M Gator UTV and plow, using the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract for Ag and Turf Equipment awarded to Heritage Tractor Inc., Smithville, Missouri, in an amount not to exceed $35,790.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT, the purchase of a new John Deere XUV 845M Gator UTV and plow, using the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract for Ag and Turf Equipment awarded to Heritage Tractor, Inc., Smithville, Missouri, in an amount not to exceed $35,790.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, Public Works Director, or other designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2025-2026 fiscal budget included $38,000.00 for the purchase of the UTV and plow. The total cost of the UTV and plow is $35,790.00.
