R-2025-108 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PURCHASE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF NEW SUPPORTING ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT FOR A 2026 INTERNATIONAL MODEL HV507 4X2 TRUCK CAB AND CHASSIS FROM AMERICAN EQUIPMENT CO, KANSAS CITY, KS, THE MARC GOVERNMENT EQUIPMENT BID DEALER WITH GOVERNMENT PRICING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $143,410.00 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need to purchase supporting accessory equipment for a 2026 International Model HV507, 4X2 truck cab and chassis; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and WHEREAS, the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) has competitively bid and awarded a contract # EV2959 to American Equipment Co., Kansas City, Kansas, 66115 to purchase such equipment; and WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of supporting accessory equipment for a 2026 International Model HV507 4X2 truck cab and chassis from American Equipment Co., Kansas City, Kansas off the MARC Government Equipment Bid List pricing in an amount not to exceed $143,410.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT, the purchase of supporting accessory equipment for a 2026 International Model HV507 4X2 truck cab and chassis from American Equipment Co., Kansas City, Kansas off the MARC Government Equipment Bid List pricing in an amount not to exceed $143,410.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, Public Works Director or other designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. The equipment will be purchased from American Equipment Co. which is a MARC fleet equipment bid dealer for government fleets. BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2025-2026 fiscal budget included $160,000.00 for the purchase price of the accessory equipment for the International heavy dump truck. The total cost of the accessory equipment for the International is $143,410.00.
