A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2025 FORD F-150 POLICE
RESPONDER FOR THE RIVERSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE APPROVED BUDGET AND COOPERATIVE PURCHASING CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside Police Department currently operates a 2020 Tahoe that
will be removed from daily service and added to our pool fleet, which will replace a 2020 Ford
Utility Interceptor; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has identified a 2025 Ford F-150 Police Responder
available through Shawnee Mission Ford using a cooperative purchasing contract administered by
the Mid -America Regional Council (MARC); and
WHEREAS, the cost of the new vehicle is $50,882, which has been appropriated and
approved in the City's Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, as follows:
THAT the Board of Aldermen hereby approves the purchase of a 2025 Ford F-150 Police
Responder from Shawnee Mission Ford in the amount of $50,882 pursuant to the MARC
cooperative purchasing contract, and that the Mayor, City Administrator, or their designee is
authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to complete the purchase of the vehicle and
to take such further actions as may be necessary to implement the intent of this Resolution; and
FURTHER THAT upon delivery and commissioning of the new truck, the 2020 Tahoe
shall be transferred to the pool fleet and the 2020 Ford Utility Interceptor shall be decommissioned,
with existing equipment transferred as needed, and prepared for sale by auction; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, and other appropriate City officials
are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to
carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf
of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements, and other documents, as may be necessary or
convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
